I love taking a break by going on a staycation! Sometimes when you're too bored of returning home every night , yet you don't have the budget to go on a oversea trip or you do not have time to spare to take leave from school/work to travel. A staycation at our local hotels is the best!
I have always wanted to have a staycation and 2011 had been pretty good to me ! (: This year so far I stayover at three of the hotels in singapore ! (:

What I love about staycation is that I can let down the tasks on hand for a moment and had fun with family/friends! (Y) Off your handphones , stay away from the internet and let your hair down and have fun! 
Dip into the pool and relax! So much quieter compared to public swimming pools ! 
Okay I simply can't gets my hand off the com heehee, thus will bring along the lappy if I can , however at a staycation you can also relax while doing work! See the chair you know what I mean ! (; 
Awesome views you can get only at the skypark of Marina Bay Sand! 
What's happier than enjoying a big feast with your friends?! Relaxing in the room , watch the tv and chit chat while enjoying the big feast. Everyone is busy with their stuff , it's seldom that we've the chance to get together and do some catching up. 
... LISHAN loves to have a break and go on a staycation! My dream is to visit as many countries as possible before I leave mother earth and maybe I can do a book filled with pictures of the different hotels and tourist most visited place !! (: So far I only been to malaysia only though > :( I wish to go on a shop-till-you-drop shopping spree at BKK , I want to go Hong Kong disneyland , I want visit Taiwan and visit the night market and many more!! ((:If I don't have a chance to go on a staycation.. I will do these stuffs which means take a break to me too!! ( these stuffs can be done anytime when I feel I need a break (; )
1) Go on a shopping spree with girlfriends! If you chanced upon a good flea , the better! I got this dress below at the above flea at only $10 ! Usual price $20+ ? (:
2) A short trip to JB . Check my post here. It's simply! Just take the train + bus and go to city square mall ! (: You can eat and shop there and pretend you're oversea , okay you're but so near :P
3) Or have a haircut!! Many people commented that cutting hair can de-stress? Maybe because you will feel *lighter* . If possible , go for a treatment too! More relaxing ! (:
4)Pamper myself : be it a waxing / facial / manicure session!! (:save the best for the last ;
5) have a break and blog!!
this one is weird but because I love blogging so much !! sometimes I simply would put down those unfinished task on-hold and blog first whenever I have the urge heehee!(: I love blogging , and can think of hours to blog a entry on a advertorial / review / contest entry..
I blogged for many years and this entry is the one I feel very sad about it !! :( I think really hard and creative and spent many hours burning my sleep for the entry but because I was 1hour late for the deadline and thus I supposed my entry was being ignored. See the post here. So from then onward I say I will never submit late unless there's really some reason oops! :)

COMPETITION BRIEF
Illustrators, designers and artists! Fancy seeing your artwork ply the
streets on a public bus? Simply create an original piece of art that is your interpretation of taking a break, and stand to win $1000 cash, as well
as a chance for your design to be exhibited, produced and distributed
island-wide – including a bus-wrap showcase!
Your piece can be an illustration, a photographic collage, a typography design or anything you can imagine, as long as it is two-dimensional and features a significant amount of KIT KAT red.
Flex your creative muscles as individuals or teams of 3 or less!
KEY GUIDELINES:
1) Original artwork should be done in at least A3 size, 300dpi, and must feature a significant amount of KIT KAT red.
2) Submissions must be made in pdf format no larger than 2MB in size
(low-res preview)
Submissions must include:
(i) Artwork
(ii) Minimum 30 word description of how the artwork represents ‘taking a break’
(iii) Your full name, IC no, email address and mobile number
(iv) Email submissions to yerbigbreak@gmail.com before 20 June 2011.
Shortlisted finalists will be informed via phone and email, by July 2011.
JUDGING CRITERIA:1) 70% Creativity/Originality/Aesthetic Value –
Are your design ideas beautiful, smart, unique and downright cool?
Does it make us go WOW and wish we’d thought of that first?
2) 30% Theme Fulfillment –
How well does the artwork reflect the theme of ‘taking a break’?
Does it feature the KIT KAT red?
